Supporting Women from Bump to Birth and Beyond

So... You're thinking of hiring a doula!? Whether it's your first time or not, child birth can be challenging for women and their families. A doula is someone who provides care, emotional support without judgement throughout this magical rollercoaster journey that is motherhood. Whilst doulas do not have any medical training, our purpose is to guide you through the transition of having a new baby. and to assist you in making the transition into your 'new normal' a happy and rewarding one.
From about 26-28 weeks, I will be on hand to discuss birth physiology, the path to birth, pain relief options as well as your birth preferences. These can take place at your home, or in a café or wherever suits. These chats will also include the more practical issues, including what to pack in your hospital bag and planning getting to your chosen birth location. These discussions can be really useful run alongside the NHS or other antenatal classes as you may not feel comfortable in asking questions in a group, or things simply weren't covered in enough depth, we will be able to go over anything you feel you may have missed or not understood.
